The Peacebuilding Program includes daily academic excursions during the course.
Students visit the UN, the Colombian Congress, the Center for Transitional Justice, meet with President Santos’ communications team and the Reparation of Victims Unit, and a trip to meet with recently demilitarized FARC members at the UN-led camp at Icononzo.
The calendar of academic excursions, which take place on weekdays, is supplemented by a social program that invites students to explore Colombia and socialise with other participants, during evenings and weekends.
There are at least two social activities per week, which range from waterfall treks to group meals of traditional Colombian food. To find out more, click here or look at the photo galleries from the 2016 and 2017 programs.
