Unwind in this seriously relaxed hilltop refuge, a perfect escape from the heat of the coast.

If you are heading to Tayrona National Park, stop off at the hillside village of Minca. Only  40 minutes from sweltering Santa Marta, this cool, tranquil paradise is a world apart from the humid heat of the coast. Spend a few days chilling out in hammocks, bird watching (we saw toucans!) and swimming in nearby fresh water pools and waterfalls. Minca also has an impressive range of tasty eateries and some excellent coffee options given the proximity of coffee Finca Victoria, this is laid back village life at its most appealing. Stay at Hostel Casa Loma for the incredible sunsets, well worth the initial hike up the hill!
