Art near Uniandes
Uniandes is located in the heart of Bogota’s cultural zone and there are plenty of museums and exhibitions within easy walking distance of the campus.
The world famous Museo de Oro is one of the highlights of any visit to Colombia and holds an unrivalled collection of stunningly beautiful gold jewellery and objects crafted by pre-Hispanic societies in Colombia.
Alernatively, you could visit the nearby Botero Museum, home to the Colombian artist’s personal collection of modern art which includes high-profle European pieces, and many of his own paintings and sculptures as well. The Botero museum is linked to the Museo de Arte del Banco de la República and the Casa de Moneda next door, and all three have free entry.
If you would like to see something more contemporary, we recommend a Grafitti tour of Bogota. The guides are friendly and knowledgeable, providing a great introduction to Bogota and its recent history. You can find out more and book a place on the Bogota graffiti website
