Alex Jones

Alex is the co-founder of Red Tree Study and an expert in international education. She specialises in recruitment for Latin America and advises universities and schools on how to develop business opportunities in the region. At Red Tree Study, she is responsible for program development in Colombia, collaborating with universities and language schools there to build new courses and partnerships. She also works closely with university partners in the UK and the USA on recruitment for Red Tree Study’s summer programs.

Alex studied History as an undergraduate at Bristol University and went on to complete a masters degree in Historical Research at the University of Oxford. Before setting up Red Tree Study, she worked in the marketing team at English UK, and managed Latin American recruitment at South Thames College in London. She was recently commissioned by the British Council to produce a report on Colombia, published here, and has carried out market research projects for schools and universities in the UK and the USA.

She fell in love with Colombia at first sight back in 2007, eventually going to live in Bogota six years later. She’ll never get bored of the Caribbean coast, and thinks that everyone should play a game of Tejo at least once in their life!
