4 Direcciones is an award winning Colombian production company, specialising in environmental, indigenous, cultural and children’s content. 4 Direccionnes offers interns the chance to be part of a company that endeavours to promote and protect indigenous cultures in Colombia; our long-standing alliance with NGOs such as la Fundacion Gaia Amazonas allows us unique access to indigenous communities in the Amazonian region. As an intern in 4 direcciones you will be part of a small, friendly and super dedicated team! You will be required to carry out various tasks to aid the production and direction departments, working in the areas of project development, preproduction, production and/or postproduction. The work that you will be involved in will depend on current projects but it will focus on documentaries, animation and fiction films. As a production assistant you will be working with field, line and executive producers and as a direction assistant you will be carrying out research, writing projects and planning shoots.
We believe we can offer interns a range of experiences that are unique in their socially-responsible focus, we hope that people will feel passionate about our projects and be able to get stuck into the work in a way that is both fascinating and rewarding.
- An art, film and/or anthropology background
- A shared interest for environmental, indigenous, cultural and children’s content
- An interest and understanding of production tasks and/or in research for audio-visual projects
- Familiar with Microsoft Office, video and photography edition programs (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator)
- Organized, able to multi-task
- English essential, intermediate Spanish desirable
