Apply for an Internship

Applications for our Internship program 2019 are now open. The process is simple: you just need to select the film company that you want to apply for, and send us your CV and a brief covering letter explaining why you’re suitable for the role, using the form below.

Once you’ve submitted your application, one of our team will contact you to arrange a preliminary interview (usually conducted via Skype). This informal meeting will help us to find out a bit more about you, and give you the chance to ask questions as well.

If successful, the preliminary meeting will be followed by a final interview with your film internship company in Colombia, then a formal job offer.

We look forward to receiving your application. If you have any questions about the film internships or the application process, just let us know – we’re here to help.

2019 Program start date: Monday 17 June*
Duration: 6 or 8 weeks
Prices: $2,950 USD (6 week program) or $3,450 USD (8 week program)

*We may be able to accommodate alternative start dates for outstanding applicants- please contact us to ask.

The programme

Red Tree Film Internships offer you the chance to be a part of the most dynamic film and media companies in Colombia, as they lead the way in establishing the country at the forefront of cinema and television production. You’ll gain hands-on experience and invaluable preparation for employment in the sector.

Our Film Internships last for six or eight weeks. During your internship, you’ll be working full time – between 35 and 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You’ll have a designated mentor, who will introduce you to your new role and work with you to review progress and provide guidance throughout your time in Colombia.

Our packages include bed and breakfast accommodation at a smart modern university residence within easy reach of your workplace – you can find out more here. You’ll be invited to a launch event in Bogota with Proimagenes, the Colombian Film Commission, and you’ll be able to take part in weekly social activities where you can mingle with other international Film Interns and their employers, to maximise your networking opportunities. Our staff will be available in Colombia throughout your Internship to answer questions and provide support if any problems arise.
